Rwanda and Mozambique have entered into high-level talks aimed at strengthening their cooperation in the field of security and defense. The discussions, held in Kigali, emphasized the strong ties between the two nations and their shared commitment to ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.

Mozambique delegation welcomed in Rwanda
Senior defense and security officials from Mozambique praised Rwanda’s continued role in supporting counter-insurgency operations in Cabo Delgado province. Rwanda has maintained troops on the ground to help restore peace and support Mozambican forces in stabilizing areas affected by insecurity.

The two countries reaffirmed their readiness to extend their defense cooperation beyond military operations, focusing also on intelligence sharing, training, and strategies to counter terrorism in the region.
