Morocco Wins CHAN 2024 After Beating Madagascar 3-2 in Nairobi Final
On Saturday, August 30, 2025, Morocco lifted the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024) trophy after an intense 3-2 victory over Madagascar at Moi International Sports Centre, Nairobi.
This win makes it Morocco’s third CHAN title, adding to their past victories in 2018 and 2020.

Madagascar struck first in the 9th minute when Felicite Manohantsoa scored, assisted by Mika Razafimahatana.
Morocco came back strong. Youssef Mehri equalized in the 27th minute and was later named Man of the Match. Before halftime, Oussama Lamlioui scored Morocco’s second goal, giving them a 2-1 lead.
Second Half Drama
At the restart, Madagascar made triple substitutions, bringing in Andrianarimanana, Rakotoson, and Rakotondraibe.
The changes paid off when Toky Rakotondraibe scored the equalizer, leveling the game at 2-2.
However, Morocco’s hero of the night, Oussama Lamlioui, netted his second goal, sealing a 3-2 victory and Morocco’s place in CHAN history.
