Job Summary
The Student Application & Monitoring Trainee Intern will support the Student Application & Monitoring team in managing candidate and student processes from application through onboarding and monitoring.
The role requires strong interpersonal communication skills, proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite, and a willingness to learn fast.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Intern will support the Student Application & Monitoring team by:
- Supporting outreach activities, including tertiary education institution visits, information sessions, pre-graduation sessions with students, and other related activities.
- Supporting the Student Application & Monitoring Manager and the CHANCEN team in administrative activities.
- Supporting the Student Application & Monitoring team in assessing the accuracy of data collected from students' applications during the onboarding process.
- Supporting the filing of all student Members' documents in the proper files and sharing them with the Supervisor for checks.
- Working closely with the wider CHANCEN International team to ensure good collaboration.
- Preparing all materials and documents needed for education institution visits, education fairs, or events that CHANCEN will participate in.
- Supporting the Student Application & Monitoring team in conducting the ISA contract signing process between CHANCEN and student applicants.
- Supporting the coordination and scheduling of home visits in collaboration with the program team.
- Performing any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
Educational Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or ongoing Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communication, Education, Sociology, Economics, International Relations, or any related field.
- Strong interest in communication, customer service, or student engagement is an added advantage.
Technical Skills, Competencies, and Experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with students, applicants, and guardians.
- Ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences.
- Ability to interact with people with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
- Comfortable handling inquiries via email, phone calls, and digital platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to support beneficiaries effectively.
- Openness to guidance in facilitating communication activities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail in communication tracking and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple communication tasks, including emails, calls, and follow-ups.
