Position: Pharmacist
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (A0) in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a complex hospital or healthcare setting
- Must be registered with a relevant professional regulatory body
- Valid license to practice is required
Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and managerial abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Negotiation and persuasion skills with a results-driven mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate dispensing of medications to patients
- Supervise dispensing technicians, interns, and students
- Ensure secure handling of narcotics and psychotropic substances
- Provide medication counseling to patients and clinical staff
- Maintain and monitor patient medication databases
- Implement clinical and technical pharmacy procedures
- Support hospital drug formulary management
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and safety standards
- Monitor drug supply levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking
- Support emergency medication access after pharmacy hours
- Assist in staff training and continuous professional development
