University of Rwanda (UR) Admissions 2025/2026

The University of Rwanda (UR) invites applications for admission into Undergraduate Academic Programs for the Academic Year 2025-2026. The online application system will be open from 05 to 18 September 2025.

Who Can Apply?

• S6 Leavers of 2025
• Applicants with NESA Equivalence Certificates dated 2025

Minimum Entry Requirements

Requirements vary by program and are published on the UR Website under the Admissions section. Admission is highly competitive and based on academic merit and available space.

How to Apply (Step by Step)

1. Visit www.ur.ac.rw → Admissions.
2. Click “New Application” and generate your Reference Number & PIN.
3. Pay a non-refundable fee: 5,000 RWF (Rwanda/EAC) or 6,000 RWF (Non-EAC).
4. Payment via BK, MTN Mobile Money (*775*5#), BK App, or Online through UrubutoPay. Use merchant code: TH77306981.
5. After 13 minutes, log in and make 3 program choices via applications.ur.ac.rw/nesa.
6. International applicants should upload required documents via applications.ur.ac.rw/equivalence.

Important Notes

• Do not pay through BK Agents.
• Always use your Reference Number when paying.
• Payments not linked to Reference Number will be rejected.
