REB Schedules English Proficiency Test for School Leaders (Aug 26–29, 2025)

The Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB) has announced that candidates who passed the written recruitment exam for Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher in charge of Studies, and Deputy Headteacher in charge of Discipline will sit for the English Proficiency Test from August 26 to 29, 2025.

REB indicated that exam centres are distributed across multiple locations. Candidates are required to verify their assigned test site and date through the official link below. REB expects all candidates to confirm details no later than August 24, 2025.

What candidates must know

Arrive at your exam centre at least 30 minutes before the start time.

You must sit the test at the site assigned to you by REB.

Bring a valid national ID and headphones for the listening section.

Mobile phones are not allowed inside the exam room.

The announcement is dated August 22, 2025, and signed by the Director General, Dr. Mbarushimana Nelson. REB also reminded candidates that this English Proficiency Test is a step towards final interviews for the advertised school leadership positions.
